According to Il Corriere dello Sport, José Mourinho and Paulo Dybala have called Milan target Alvaro Morata, while the striker’s agent has scheduled a meeting with Roma director Tiago Pinto, but there’s a ‘mystery’ regarding his transfer clause.

Morata is said to be Mourinho’s favourite option to replace the injured Tammy Abraham, but Pinto is also in talks with West Ham for Gianluca Scamacca, given that he sees the Italian as the best option considering value for money.

The Rome-based paper claims Dybala and Mourinho have already called Morata to persuade him to move to the Stadio Olimpico from Atletico Madrid.

In the meantime, Pinto has scheduled a meeting with the striker’s entourage to learn the feasibility of the deal, which, according to Corriere dello Sport, remains ‘complicated.’

Morata has also been linked with a move to Milan and according to Sky Sport Italia, there is an issue regarding his release clause.

According to the striker’s entourage, Morata can leave for €10m, while Atletico Madrid sources insist Morata’s clause is set at €21m.
