Alvaro Morata is Milan‘s primary target for the attack and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have offered the Spain captain a €4m-a-year contract.

Milan are out of the race to sign Joshua Zirkzee, and Morata has become their main target to strengthen the attack.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said during a press conference on Monday that Milan had identified ‘Mister X’ as their priority up front and Gazzetta confirms that Milan’s not-so-mysterious target is Morata.

According to the pink paper, Milan have offered the Spaniard a three-year contract worth €4m per season.

Morata has two years left in his contract with Atletico Madrid, but the deal includes a €13m clause, which Milan are ready to trigger.

Both Ibra and new Milan coach Paulo Fonseca said on Monday that they were confident the new striker would soon move to San Siro, but they didn’t name Morata directly.

At the same time, Morata said in a recent interview with El Mundo that he’s happier outside Spain, suggesting that his time with Atletico Madrid may come to an end after the Euros.
