Vincenzo Iaquinta has urged Alvaro Morata and Juventus have patience in light of his injury just two days into his Bianconero career.
The 21-year-old has been confirmed on Tuesday morning as requiring up to 50 days on the sidelines to recover from a second degree sprain suffered to the collateral ligament in his left knee.
Whilst coming in just his first training session with the club after a €20m transfer from Real Madrid, one former Juve man who also suffered with injury during his career has urged patience.
“The injury is serious enough, but salvageable,” Iaquinta has reflected to Tuttomercatoweb today.
“Now we have to proceed slowly with the recovery, because for such a stretch we need patience and not to rush.
“The problem is that, if anything, Morata completely skips pre-season and when one has to train alone it can be a little problem.
“Anyway, Juventus have over a month to find cover in the transfer market.”
The 34-year-old was asked of his own hopes heading into the new season.
“For now I am not going anywhere, I think I am done with football.
“A new career as a Coach could open up for me and I’m ready to get started, perhaps even with the youngsters.”
