Although reports in Italy claim Juventus have re-opened negotiations for Alvaro Morata, but in Spain they insist he is 99 per cent sure of staying with Atletico Madrid.

The striker has just finished a two-season loan spell in Turin, his second different experience with the Bianconeri jersey.

He seemed determined to make it permanent, but Juve refused to pay the agreed €35m option to buy outright.

Calciomercato.com claim that under the advice of coach Max Allegri, the Old Lady resumed talks with Atletico Madrid to get the Spain international back at the Allianz Juventus Stadium.

However, Diario AS in Spain warn that as things stand, Morata is 99 per cent sure of staying with Atletico Madrid.

He already enrolled his children in a school in Madrid and moved house, his wife Alice is expecting their fourth baby and Morata has impressed coach Diego Simeone with his performances in pre-season.

The 29-year-old earned praise for his work-rate and for arriving in perfect shape after the summer vacation.

He scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 48 competitive games for Juventus last season.

5 thought on “Morata could snub Juventus for Atletico Madrid stay”
  1. He better learn and not think 3rd time is a charm, especially with Mumm-Ra in charge. Juventus do not treat their players that well. Del Piero and Dybala show this. He should realise that his best days if any are behind. Find a mid table Spanish club, enjoy life and forget all about the back, back, down, down. He will need lots of therapy as he was part of a PhD Max team twice in his life.
