Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is a surprise inclusion in the latest Spain squad, which also lists Napoli’s Jose Callejon.

Morata has impressed since joining Juventus in the summer from Real Madrid, and could be handed his first senior international cap by Vicente del Bosque in upcoming matches with Belarus and Germany.

There is notably no space for Juve teammate Fernando Llorente, in spide of Chelsea’s Diego Costa also not making this month’s cut.

Morata is one of three players based in Serie A who will travel to join up with the Spanish squad, with two representatives from Rafeal Benitez’s Napoli also making the trip.

Reports this morning had indicated that Callejon would be included, and as expected the 27-year-old is now also in line to win his first cap.

Napoli teammate Raul Albiol could reach a milestone if selected, with the defender currently on 49 caps for his country.
