The Salentini look to continue their remarkable start to the season and these Monza vs. Leccepredictions suggest that they have a real chance. Roberto D’Aversa’s side are unbeaten in their first three games and will be keen to extend their run.
1 – Lecce to win – 13/5
2 – Lecce to score over 1.5 goals – 9/4
3 – Nikola Krstovic to score – 16/5
4 – Only one team to score – 21/20
5 – Lecce to keep a clean sheet – 14/5
Lecce travel north to face Monza this weekend, hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the season. Roberto D’Aversa’s side sit fourth in the league table with two wins and a draw from their opening three games and come up against a Biancorossi team that has not really got started yet.
Raffaele Palladino’s team have had a tough start to their season, with matches against Inter and Atalanta ending, as expected, in defeats. A home victory against Empoli means that panic has been avoided for the time being, but an upcoming trip to Lazio means this weekend’s fixture is an important opportunity to put points on the board.
Unfortunately for the hosts, they come up against a Lecce side that have started their campaign in rare form. D’Aversa’s team will be keen to ensure that the international break has not disrupted their winning rhythm and bookmakers have the visitors as favourites ahead of the clash at the Stadio Brianteo.
So far this season, the Salentini have looked remarkably consistent. Lecce have scored two goals in all of their three games and are good value to do so again against a Monza side who have conceded 1.6 goals per game on average this season.
The goals have largely been shared across the Giallorossi so far. But summer signing Nikola Krstovic has been a standout performer, in particular. The Montenegro forward bagged on his debut from the bench and then again on his first start for the club, before continuing his fine form during the international break. For good reason, the striker is favourite to score anytime against Monza.
Monza’s start to the season has been far less consistent, with the Biancorossi either keeping a clean sheet or failing to score entirely. This is not a good sign ahead of the visit of a prolific Lecce side, and we back a wager on either one team to score, or on a Lecce clean sheet.

Monza (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Izzo, Mari, Caldirola; Birindelli, Gagliardini, Pessina, Ciurria; Caprari, Colpani; Mota
Lecce (4-3-3): Falcone; Gendry, Pogracic, Baschirotto, Gallo; Rafia, Ramadani, Kaba; Almqvist, Krstovic, Banda
Raffaele Palladino may look to refresh his attack with Lorenzo Colombo and Samuele Vignato both pushing for a start. Summer signing Danilo D’Ambrosio remains injured, meaning Armando Izzo will continue at right centre-back.
Roberto D’Aversa is unlikely to make many changes to his side, looking to preserve momentum. Gabriel Streffezza may be handed a start over Lamek Banda, while Joan Gonzalez, Youssef Maleh and Alexis Blin all hope to feature in midfield.
