Monza became the second club to sack their coach this week and now Rafaelle Palladino takes over for this weekend’s game. Most Monza vs. Juventus predictions will be forecasting an away win whoever is in charge, though.

Monza vs. Juventus odds

1 – Juventus to win – 5/6

2 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 10/11

3 – Dušan Vlahović to score at any time – 13/10

4 – Juventus to score over 2.5 goals – 11/4

5 – Half time/Full time Juventus/Juventus – 15/8

Silvio Berlusconi hasn’t changed that much then. The Monza boss had already been critical of Giovanni Stroppa’s tactics in the opening weeks of the season and it was the Monza coach who was the second in Serie A this season to be shown the door this week.

A 1-1 draw with Lecce – one that brought Monza’s first ever Serie A point – was not enough to save Stroppa’s job. Now Rafaelle Palladino has been temporarily promoted from the youth team to take charge. His first game will be a real baptism of fire.

Monza were always going to find life tough in the top flight but is rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table and it seems very unlikely that they will be able to get anything from Sunday’s game against Juventus to change that.

The Old Lady played an extra Champions League game in the week but will still be huge favourites to take all three points here. They are a club in a mini crisis of their own though and Max Allegri could really do with another win.

Juventus may be unbeaten in the league but they have only won two of the opening six games and have already fallen off the pace set at the top of the table by the likes of Napoli, Milan and Atalanta.

Some good news for Allegri is that Ángel Di Maria should be fit for this one and could even start. He looked the best player on the pitch before his injury and could provide Juventus with a much-needed creative spark behind Vlahović up front.

Monza team news

It will be interesting to see whether Palladino tries anything different in his first game in charge. Andrea Colpani may get a recall to the starting XI but the new boss may feel as though he just has to get this fixture out of the way before concentrating on wholesale changes.

Juventus team news

Juve are still fuming about the refereeing decisions at the end of the Salernitana game and will have to do without Milik and Cuadrado, who were both red-carded. Di Maria could start again after his injury lay off though.
