Monza striker Dany Mota Carvalho has received his first senior call-up for international duty with Portugal.

The 25-year-old striker contributed four goals and three assists in 28 Serie A appearances so far this season.

He was called up by coach Roberto Martinez to replace injured players, as Trincao and Guerreiro pulled out.

The squad is already present, but Dany Mota Carvalho will join them from tomorrow for the friendly matches against Sweden on March 21 and Slovenia on March 26.

There are other Serie A players already present, namely Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio and Milan star Rafael Leao.

Dany Mota earned 16 caps for Portugal at Under-21 level, scoring seven goals, but until now had not been called up for the Nazionale.

He hit the headlines recently for scoring a spectacular overhead kick goal against Genoa.
