Monza confirm Salvatore Bocchetti has been sacked and replaced by Alessandro Nesta who returns to the club after being dismissed in December.

Monza have sacked Bocchetti after just seven games in charge. The 38-year-old had won just one game, losing six. Monza scored six goals under the Italian tactician and conceded 16.

“AC Monza have decided to relieve Salvatore Bocchetti of his duties as head coach of the First Team,” Monza said in a statement on Monday.

“The club thank him for his work and wishes him the best of luck in his professional future.

“AC Monza also announces to have revoked the dismissal of Alessandro Nesta, who will once again take on the role of head coach of the Biancorossi First Team.”

Monza sit at the bottom of the Serie A table, with 13 points from 24 matches. They have collected two wins, seven draws, and lost 15 games.
