Monza are set to wear a special-edition version of their home shirt, featuring a strong message against domestic violence towards women, when the team hosts Torino in their Serie A fixture on Saturday evening.

In an aim to raise public awareness, domestic abuse charity hotline Telefona Rosa will feature on the kits, thanks to the cooperation of regular front-of-shirt sponsor Motorola.

Monza’s shirts this weekend will feature the message: “He was the man of my dreams, today he is my nightmare.”

The shirts will also feature a printed white bow, an international symbol for campaigns against violence towards women.

After Saturday’s proceedings, Monza’s one-off shirts will be made available to the public via an online auction, with all proceedings going towards charities helping female victims of violence.
