Monza players will show their support for their teammate Pablo Marì before their match against Bologna tonight, wearing a shirt with the name of the Spanish defender.

The Arsenal loanee was one of the four people wounded in a stabbing attack in a supermarket near Milan on Thursday last week. One person, a 46-year-old cashier, was killed in the attack.

Arsenal showed their support for Marì in their home win over Nottingham Forest during the weekend and Monza will do the same tonight before their match with Bologna.

As confirmed by the Brianzoli, players will wear a special white kit that reads ‘come back soon Pablo’ and a minute of silence will be held to honour the memory of Luis Fernando Ruggieri, the victim of the attack.

Monza had asked Lega Calcio to postpone the match against Bologna, but their request was rejected.

The match kicks off at 19.45 UK time.
