Some have suggested that the absence of Biglia could lead to Riccardo Montolivo being brought in from the cold, but Gazzetta dello Sport reports that is extremely unlikely.

The midfielder was club captain until the summer of 2017, and has made over 150 appearances for the Rossoneri.

He’s been frozen out completely by Gattuso, and hasn’t featured at all since being given 27 minutes against Novara in a pre-season friendly.

Andrea Bertolacci and Jose Mauri will be considered before Montolivo, the paper reports.
