Riccardo Montolivo is set to extend his Milan contract until 2019, according to reports.

The Rossoneri captain’s current deal expires at the end of the season, meaning he would be free to negotiate with other clubs in January.

However, Calciomercato reports that an agreement is all-but complete for a new contract, which would see Montolivo stay at San Siro until 2019.

The Italian international is thought to be willing to take a cut in his current €3.5m per season salary, as he dreams of ending his career with the Diavolo.
