Riccardo Montolivo has wished Ricky Kaka luck at Orlando City and believes Mario Balotelli needs to take on responsibility.

The Milan captain was speaking to reporters on the margins of a publicity event at Casa Milan, the Rossoneri’s headquarters.

“Ricky is part of the history of Milan, I’m sorry he has left,” Montolivo said of the recently departed Brazilian playmaker.

“But I think the best decision for everyone has been taken. I wish him good luck.

“We know him [Balotelli], he played his part. Maybe he was hoping for more, but his contribution was not lacking. The blame must be attributed to everyone.

“When I see him I will talk to him about it, he is not a little boy anymore and he needs to take on responsibility, as he is doing.”

The midfielder, who missed Italy’s World Cup campaign this summer through injury, then expressed his sadness at the way Cesare Prandelli’s tenure with the Azzurri came to an end.

“It wasn’t easy to watch the World Cup from the outside and not be able to help out.

“It’s a shame because in these four years with Prandelli we worked well. We will see what happens with the new CT, they will choose the right Coach.”
