The Rossoneri are 12 points off the top of Serie A, with rumours Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is in danger of losing his job.

“The thing that angers me, is that the team is creating,” Montolivo said in a Press conference ahead of the Carpi game.

“We’re trying, and from that point of view our commitment is unquestionable. We have to keep doing what we’re doing, we can’t just put it down to bad luck, there are also things we’re doing wrong.

“It is obviously our fault if we don't take the chances we create and of course we get angry.

“I am the Milan captain, and at the moment we’re eighth so it's only normal to hear some negative things. It is better if they criticise me rather than others, so the others can have less pressure.”

The Diavolo face Carpi tomorrow in the Coppa Italia, and can set up a semi-final against Spezia or Alessandria with a win.

“Carpi have been doing well lately. At the start maybe they took some time to adjust to the top flight. We have to clear our minds, we have to concentrate only on tomorrow and play a good game.”
