Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo is reportedly considering a move to Silvio Berlusconi’s new club Monza in Serie C.
He was the captain of the Rossoneri not so long ago, but the 33-year-old has been frozen out by Coach Gennaro Gattuso.
The 33-year-old was on the market this summer, but refused to leave, as his wife is expecting a baby.
As a result, Montolivo was dumped to the outskirts of the squad and in a midweek friendly during international duty was even made to play with the Primavera youth team rather than the remaining senior players.

According to Calciomercato.com, a solution could be found in a reunion with former Milan directors Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi.
They took over Monza this month and are considering Montolivo as a reinforcement for their midfield.
However, the former Italy international would prefer not to drop down into Serie C, so would hold off until Monza’s promotion into Serie B next season.
His contract only runs to June 2019, so he'd be a free agent by then.
