Catania are without a victory in four rounds, so Vincenzo Montella intends to turn the tide against Atalanta tonight, but refuses to talk about his future.

The Coach has been heavily linked with some of the top jobs in Italian football for next season, including Napoli, Inter and Lazio.

“Atalanta are a side to be feared and have great quality. Are we both revelations of the season? It is not our objective to prove that,” said Montella.

“We are certainly motivated and eager to do well, while they have players who keep the same level of intensity for 95 minutes. If it weren’t for their six-point penalty, they would be in front of us.”

Catania were in the race for a Europa League spot, but Montella feels the media are to blame for their recent downturn.

“We talk too much about the future and not enough about the present. That’s not right and it disturbs the squad.

“Games are important for us, but above all for this club. After that, anything is possible in football. I am very happy here, have a contract and as with everything else in life, never say never.

“That was my motto when I was a player and it remains so now I am a Coach.”

Juan Pablo Carrizo is suspended, so either Tomas Kosicky or Pietro Terracciano will get the gloves. Sergio Almiron is carrying an injury and could make way for Marco Biagianti in midfield.
