Vincenzo Montella “wants answers” from Catania in today’s match with Udinese and reveals something about old friend Antonio Di Natale.

The Elefantini have a game in hand, as last week’s encounter with Roma was rained off after 65 minutes on a 1-1 scoreline.

“This is going to be a very tough challenge for us in Udine and I want answers from my team,” said the Coach.

He is expected to adopt a 4-3-3 system with Davide Marchese returning to replace Ciro Capuano on the left, but David Suazo could get a surprise run-out, as Maxi Lopez is dropped ahead of the transfer to Fulham.

“It is always very tempting to send Suazo on to the pitch, as he has great charisma and a real effect on his teammates. He could give us a big hand this season.

“After every excellent performance, Catania have then followed that up by showing limitations, so I hope we can break that pattern. I think it’s better for us, in terms of characteristics, to be facing Udinese away from home.”

The biggest goal threat is Di Natale, who won the Capocannoniere title twice in a row and used to play with Montella at Empoli, while they are also both Neapolitan.

“Toto matured later than most, because up until a certain age he wasn’t that fussed at playing football,” joked the Catania tactician.

“Then he achieved great results and made up for lost time. He has been remarkably consistent for years and found the ideal environment in Udine.”
