Vincenzo Montella claims Milan were ‘wrong’ to sack him so soon as ‘only one Champions League player’ arrived and ‘I deserved more time’.
Montella took Milan to the Europa League in his first season at the helm but was sacked just three months into the 2017-18 campaign, the former Sevilla and Fiorentina boss perceived to have under-achieved after the club splashed out over €200m on 11 new players.
“Am I a victim? Definitely. Sometimes I have with unnecessary malice,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
