“There is no possibility of me becoming the Italy Coach as of now, because I am very happy at Sevilla and on top of that there has been no type of contact either,” Montella told Fox Sport Italia.

“Besides, I think that to be the Italy Coach you need grey hair and I have very little.”

Does that mean Montella sides more with silver foxes Carlo Ancelotti or Mancini?

“I’ve seen Roberto a few times and he has a lot of grey hair… I think Billy Costacurta will know who to choose for the long-term. Before finding a Coach, the Federation must decide what direction to take.

“There are so many good tacticians in Italy. Just think of Ranieri, who had a lot of international experience, is a balanced guy and has always adapted to the teams he worked with.”

Former Leicester City boss Ranieri, currently in France with Nantes, also has grey hair.
