Vincenzo Montella says it’s “too soon” to take the Italy job, and says Milan sacked him because “it’s always the Coach’s fault”.

The Rossoneri sacked the former striker earlier today, and as a result he was given the ‘Golden Tapir’ by satirical news show Striscia La Notizia, a gag prize given to someone who has been notably humiliated or defeated.

“It’s always the Coach’s fault, and I paid for that too,” Montella told the programme, before talking about his replacement, Rino Gattuso.
