Roma boss Vincenzo Montella insists he is curious rather than anxious about the club's prospective new owners.

American investor Thomas Di Benedetto is expected to complete his €70m takeover of Roma this afternoon.

Speculation continues to increase about his plans for the club and whether Montella will keep his job on the bench.

"Asked about the takeover, Montella said: "We are curious, not anxious. We must only think about Saturday's game against Palermo.

Speculation continues to increase about his plans for the club and whether Montella will keep his job on the bench.

"Asked about the takeover, Montella said: "We are curious, not anxious. We must only think about Saturday's game against Palermo.

"They are very good at working in wide areas. Palermo have a precise identity and it's a game that I fear a lot.

"The Champions League is a realisable objective. But naturally we have the handicap of our League position.

"We have the chance to save the season, but if it's doesn't happen we won't make a drama out of it."
