Vincenzo Montella hailed Juan Cuadrado and Fiorentina for their comeback at Chievo. “He can do anything.”

The Viola notched up a third consecutive victory, as Cuadrado’s brace turned it around for a 2-1 win in Verona.

“Cuadrado is certainly unique with his characteristics, as he scored wide left in a 4-3-3 and almost netted on the right in a 3-5-2, so he can do anything,” Montella told Sky Sport Italia.

“This was a very difficult, delicate game and we went behind early on against a very organised Chievo side.

“We had patience, quality and I think deserved this victory. I see a solid team that has a lot of belief, but above all that scores more than last season, so I am very, very satisfied.

“I think we adapt to our opponents more than last year. We ‘show off’ a little less, but that is a sign of growth.

“There was a huge risk we’d lose concentration after Juventus, but aside from the first 10 minutes we were right on it. You can’t be less determined than our opponents on a pitch like this.”

Montella was told an Arsenal scout was in the stands of the Stadio Bentegodi to watch Cuadrado, but laughed at the rumoured30m offer.

“Is that €30m for half? I’m sure he’ll stay with us, then we’ll see what happens in June.”
