Coach Vincenzo Montella admits the upcoming derby will be decisive to avoid relegation, after Palermo-Sampdoria 2-0.
The Blucerchiati enjoy a five-point lead on Palermo and Carpi, but they face a tricky schedule for the last two games, with the derby against Genoa followed by a match against Juventus.
“Unfortunately we're not taking any points home tonight, even though it was the right opportunity,” Montella told the Press after the game.

“We'll have to pick up the points needed to stave off relegation in the derby.”
The Doria lost the lead primarily because of Andrea Ranocchia, who attempted and failed to dribble Alberto Gilardino in a dangerous position.
“Ranocchia isn't very lucky, sometimes he makes mistakes like he did today. I'm sorry for him because he's a good kid.
“Unfortunately we lacked the strength to get back into the game.”
Montella was also asked whether he'd consider an offer by the Azzurri or by another club.
“The national team is the highest possible achievement for a Coach and I've already said that if I got an offer I'd consider it.
“There's always a third option, that of staying home. I'm trying not to think of this question right now.”
