“Benitez was angry after that game and we were not able to figure out why they put in this performance or why Manolo Gabbiadini was on the bench,” ex-Toro Coach Mondonico told Radio Crc.
“I really doubt he prepared properly for this game. Torino are strongest on set plays and Napoli completely failed to find any counter-measure.
“The table shows Napoli have six fewer points than at this stage last season. Benitez still hasn’t figured out that Italian football is very tactical and therefore very difficult, as even the smallest club can outfox the biggest.
“The perfect example is Roma recently being held by Parma. No game in Serie A has a guaranteed outcome before being played.”
