The Italy Under-21 international goalkeeper impressed at the weekend, saving a Gonzalo Higuain penalty in their 1-0 victory over Napoli.

“He is continuing his growth process and is working to ensure his career is lengthy and serious,” agent Vincenzo Rispoli told FcInterNews.

“Chievo President Sartori and Coach Corini did well to show they wanted him at all costs. Francesco remains in contact with Inter and is one of the best goalkeepers around, but also modest. Inter appreciate that.

“Inter really believe in him and we are happy about that. Francesco is happy to belong to Inter and also flattered by the calls from important European clubs.

“It is true that Monaco wanted him at all costs, but he never said anything about wanting to leave Inter. He is very close to Inter and so am I.

“My first client who joined Inter was Gianluca Pagliuca in 1994. I’ve always got along well with the club.”

Samir Handanovic is also still young, so when will Bardi be in the Inter goal?

“He has a whole season ahead of him and has to continue the way he is now, for club and country. He just needs to stay relaxed and then things will happen by themselves.”
