Juventus have a new path to sell Denis Zakaria, with reports AS Monaco have made their first proposal, as they failed to agree terms with West Ham United.

The midfielder is not part of coach Max Allegri’s plans for this season and returned to base after a loan spell with Chelsea.

He arrived in January 2022 from Borussia Monchengladbach at a cost of €10m, but did not impress in Turin or fit in with Allegri’s ideas of football.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Monaco have joined the race for Zakaria by making an initial offer to Juventus.

They could have an extra advantage, as Zakaria already worked with coach Adi Hütter at both Young Boys and Borussia Monchengladbach.

He had been in talks with West Ham, but both the clubs and player failed to agree terms on a deal, so that seems to be on the backburner.

Other sides who have shown an interest in the Switzerland international are Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and RC Lens.
