Sampdoria’s new signing Niklas Moisander is “happy to be in Serie A with an ambitious club” after leaving Ajax.
The 29-year-old Finnish international was a free agent and already signed on with Samp back in January.
“I am happy to be here,” defender Moisander told reporters at his presentation.
“I think Serie A is an important league, as there are many great teams and excellent players.

“Sampdoria are an ambitious club, the President is ambitious and I like that. I expect to do well in the Europa League, because European competition is important, but also in Serie A.”
The former Ajax captain was asked to describe himself to his new fans.
“I am a good defender, able to read the game and defensive situations, while I also have a lot of experience.”
