Italian legend Roberto Baggio is being linked with the Modena job by the Corriere dello Sport on Saturday.

The Serie B side are looking for a new tactician and Baggio is available after recently gaining his coaching badges.

Modena have tried and failed to appoint former Palermo boss Devis Mangia and current Novara tactician Attilio Tesser.

The outfit could now make an offer for the World Cup star ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.

The idea to approach him comes from Antonio Caliendo, Baggio’s former agent who now works as a market consultant for the club.

The former Fiorentina, Milan, Inter, Juventus and Brescia player has been out of the game since retirement in 2004.

In 2010, he was appointed as the President of the technical sector of the Italian Football Federation – an unpaid position.
