A statement blamed the Canarini, with Carpi claiming that money owed had been redirected to pay their co-tenant’s debts.
However, Modena have hit back with a statement of their own, accusing Carpi of “repeated serious breaches of their obligations under the agreement” as they have “failed to pay money owed without any justification”.
The club alleges that the Biancorossi have not come up with €40,000 for pitch maintenance, or €25,000 for utilities.
Modena also claim that they are owed €72,000, of which €65,000 has gone unpaid since July.
“This situation is ridiculous, defamatory and hugely damaging to Modena FC,” the statement concludes.
“What was reported in the Press release of Carpi FC was to hide a very serious breach which has continued for months.”
