Henrikh Mkhitaryan vowed to ‘do everything’ to help Roma fight for the Scudetto in 2021-22.

The Armenian, capped 88 times by the national team, has extended until June 2022 with the Giallorossi.

Mkhitaryan, who turned 32 in January, has established himself as a valuable member at the Olimpico since joining from Arsenal.

He spent 2019-20 on loan and then moved on a permanent deal and has been given reassurances that he will continue to play an important part under new coach Jose Mourinho at La Lupa.

“If Roma will be up there next season? We will do everything to be protagonists,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“We will try to bring home as many wins as possible.”

The former Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund star scored 13 times in 34 League games last term, contributing 11 assists in the process.
