Both sides were knocked out of the Coppa Italia midweek and are coming off disappointing Serie A results too, so the pressure is on at the Mapei Stadium.

“We must win every game and then see where we are at the end of the season,” Mkhitaryan told DAZN.

“It’s not easy to talk about the campaign, but the important thing is to take it one game at a time. We’ll see where we end up.”

Pellegrini is back in the starting XI after his injury lay-off and a few substitute appearances.

“He is a very important player for Roma, we all know his quality. He played for Sassuolo too, so he will do everything today to score and make his Roma win.”

Pellegrini’s return is even more crucial considering Nicolò Zaniolo is suspended, while Stephan El Shaarawy is not even on the bench.
