Henrikh Mkhitaryan promises he will sing a song by Italian tenor Al Bano if Inter win the title this season but is ‘very sad’ to see Milan Skriniar leave for PSG.

The ex-Armenia international spoke to DAZN days after a 0-0 draw against Sampdoria on Monday.

The Marassi stalemate leaves the Nerazzurri 15 points below table leaders Napoli, but Mkhitaryan still has title hopes.

“I dream of winning Inter’s 20th Scudetto. If it happens, I’ll sing a song by Al Bano,” he said.

“At the beginning of the season, there were moments of confrontations inside the dressing room, but we spoke to each other, agreeing on how to move forward, fighting for this jersey. We know we could have done more at the beginning of the season, but what matters the most is what we can do in the future.

“Anything is possible, 17 games are remaining and we’ll try to reduce the gap in the table. Winning two derbies in 18 days was sensational. We are happy that Milan is Nerazzurra.”

The ex-Roma star also replied to questions about Skriniar, who will join PSG as a free agent in July.

“I am sad that Skriniar will leave for PSG, but I have to accept his choice. We are talking about his career and he is responsible for his choices. I thank him for playing with me for six months and the five still remaining.”
