La Repubblica reports the Giallorossi have a clause in the contract expiring in June 2021 with the 32-year-old and the next game he plays will trigger the conditions for the automatic renewal.

However, Mkhitaryan, who seems happy with life in Roma, is still in doubt for the match against Hellas Verona.

The attacker currently struggles with muscle problems and could be forced to wait for his 25th game with La Lupa this season.
