There are mixed reports on Mauro Icardi, as in France they claim Juventus are stepping up interest, while in Italy it’s maintained he is not a target.

Moise Kean completed his medical today and should soon announce his return from Everton, on loan with obligation to buy for a total of €20-25m.

Another forward could also arrive to replace Manchester United-bound Cristiano Ronaldo.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio insists the focus now is on improving the midfield and Icardi is not a priority.

However, Footmercato report that Juve are stepping up their pursuit of the ex-Inter and Sampdoria hitman.

The concern is that Juve only want Icardi on a dry loan, whereas Paris Saint-Germain would prefer to monetise with a permanent transfer or loan with obligation to buy.

Icardi has never disguised his desire to one day wear the Juventus jersey and return to Italy, two years after his move to PSG.

Much of his future depends on the situation with Kylian Mbappé, who is targeted by Real Madrid.
