There are mixed reports today on whether Milan want to extend Theo Hernandez’s contract or listen to offers from Bayern Munich and the Premier League.

Widely considered one of the best left-backs in the world right now, he has contributed 29 goals and 38 assists in 205 appearances for the Rossoneri, some of them this season playing in central defence.

His current contract runs to June 2026 and the 26-year-old is attracting a great deal of attention from clubs all over Europe.

The Corriere dello Sport insists that Milan plan to offer him a three-year extension with significant pay increase from €4.5m per season with the aid of performance-related bonuses.

It is still nowhere near the €8-10m per season that Bayern Munich are reportedly proposing, nor would it match up to any Premier League bids.

Meanwhile, Calciomercato.it claim that Theo Hernandez’s agent has so far not received any communication from Milan regarding a new contract.

The asking price would be close to €100m and considering he was signed from Real Madrid for €22.8m in the summer of 2019, it might be hard for the club to turn down.

Both sources maintain Theo Hernandez is in absolutely no rush to leave Milan and would not force the issue, but that he is open to a departure if the club listens to offers.
