Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee is attracting interest from Inter, Milan, Napoli and Juventus, with a €40m release clause making a January exit possible, but there are mixed reports on his Bayern Munich deal.
The 22-year-old Dutchman is a product of the youth academies at Feyenoord and Bayern Munich, moving on loan to Parma in February 2021 for an uneventful six-month spell.
Following another loan in Belgium with RSC Anderlecht, Bologna took a bet on him at €8.5m in the summer of 2022.
That deal included a promise to give Bayern Munich 35-40 per cent of any profits from his future sale.
Some sources say 35 per cent, others 40, some even 50 per cent, so it is not entirely clear what the contract says.
So with the release clause set at €40m and his price-tag not dropping from there, the profit would be €31.5m, with up to €12.6m of that going to the German giants.
To make matters even more complicated, Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto claim Bayern Munich can buy Zirkzee back for half his release clause, which would be just €20m.
Bologna do not seem interested in any January sales, but various different sources point Zirkzee in other directions.
Tuttosport claim Juventus are interested in replacing Dusan Vlahovic with Zirkzee in January, while Calciomercato.com suggest Milan are more likely.
Inter could seek a new forward with Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic struggling for fitness, while Napoli can consider him for next season.
