Juventus are facing yet another headache as talented youngster Fabio Miretti has returned from international duty with an ankle injury.

The 19-year-old Italian midfielder has become a regular in the Bianconeri first team this season under Massimiliano Allegri, appearing in all of their nine games across the league and Champions League. Miretti joined up with the Italy Under-21 squad for this international break and played 68 minutes of their 2-0 loss to England earlier this week.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Miretti has returned from the Italy U-21 camp after suffering an injury to his right ankle during a training session yesterday. The teenager will undergo a round of medical tests to understand the extent of the issue and how long his recovery will take.

This is another frustrating injury for Juventus, who are already dealing with a slight injury crisis. Seven first team players are currently stuck on the sidelines and Allegri’s options will now be further limited, although the hope is that the issue isn’t as serious as first feared.
