“He is phenomenal, one of the best coaches ever. I learned a lot from him in just one year, especially in terms of the management of the group,” Milito told the broadcaster.
“I have many anecdotes to tell about what was one of the best seasons of the club’s history and my career.
“I don’t have one to say publicly, but there are many. What did Mourinho say to us before the Champions League final? It was quiet; there was tension in the locker room.
“But Mourinho calmed us down.”
Milito then discussed Lautaro Martinez, who is having his breakout season with the club.
“I wrote to him asking how he is doing these days, we have a great relationship.
“I saw him grow up, he trained with us at Racing in the first team in 2014. It makes me happy to see his constant growth.
“He is an extraordinary lad, a product of our youth system, like Rodrigo De Paul and Juan Musso.”
