The hero of last year's Champions League Final Diego Milito believes Inter must respect Bayern Munich when they meet this evening.

The Argentina international striker scored a brace of goals at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid to end a 45-year drought in Europe's elite club competition last May.

He will be conspicuous by his absence at San Siro tonight after being ravaged by injury yet again this season.

"Leonardo has given us the consciousness to be a strong group and I believe that this has been fundamental," Milito said.

"The team is solid right now. Winning the Club World Cup has given us a special boost.

"From central midfield to attack, they are a team to respect," he concluded.
