Departing Inter player Diego Milito has appeared on the club’s official television station to bid his final farewell to San Siro fans.
The Argentine’s five year stay with the Nerazzurri is over and he will now leave the club along with compatriots Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Walter Samuel.
Speaking to Inter Channel, the 34-year-old admitted to feeling emotional about his departure and described the club as a family.
“Obviously I’m emotional, saying thank you is a given,” Milito said. “Thank you to everyone, thank you to Inter which is a family.
“We have been together for five years, but now the moment has come to say goodbye.
“The other players leaving? It was an intense moment, all four of us are very close and it’s been hard for us to part ways. But Inter will do well.
“For me it has been a true honour to wear this shirt. I will miss the dressing room, the friendship, I have so many memories.
“My future? I’ll continue to play because I really want to after a year of injuries. I will talk to my family and see. I want to say thank you again to the fans, who have been close to me.”
