Milinkovic-Savic latest: price tag, Man Utd and PSG interest and why Juve want him

Lazio are prepared to sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for €70-80m and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is pushing to sign him, despite the strong interest from Manchester United and PSG.

The Serbia international is expected to leave the Stadio Olimpico in the summer after an excellent season under Maurizio Sarri. The 27-year-old has contributed to 20 goals in 34 Serie A appearances and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he is Max Allegri’s priority target in midfield.

The Tuscan tactician wants a midfielder who can score goals consistently and Milinkovic-Savic is the perfect man for the job. Allegri feels that Juventus have missed a player with Milinkovic-Savic’s characteristics since Paul Pogba left the club in 2016.

The Serbia international has never scored less than five goals in the last four seasons. In Turin, he would reunite with his friend and compatriot Dusan Vlahovic and his brother Vanja who plays for Torino.

Juventus’ transfer budget for the summer is in the region of €50-60m, not enough to sign the midfielder who has a €70-80m price tag. According to Gazzetta and Calciomercato.com, Man United and PSG are the most credible contenders and have the financial power to outbid the Old Lady in the summer. Nevertheless, the Bianconeri will do all they can to sign the midfielder who is destined to join a top club at the end of the campaign.
