Nikola Milenkovic might not be leaving Fiorentina after all, as after West Ham United, now Tottenham Hotspur talks have stalled too.

The defender has been on the market all summer because his contract is due to expire in June 2022 and it is the last chance to sell him at a profit.

However, weeks of negotiations with West Ham hit the skids when Tottenham came in with an improved proposal.

Now Tuttomercatoweb claim that the plans at Fiorentina have suddenly changed after Real Betis swooped in a €4m deal for captain German Pezzella.

With their star defender gone, the Viola no longer wish to sell his fellow centre-back at the same time.

Nobody reaching the €18m plus bonuses asking price, Milenkovic could now sign a new contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi instead.

The Serbia international turns 24 in October and has been at Fiorentina since leaving Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2017.

  1. With an agent like he’s got demanding ludicrous amounts of money, he could be spending his entire career at Fiorentina and achieve nothing. Good luck pal, you’re gonna need it.
