Fikayo Tomori reflected on Milan’s Scudetto victory, the leadership skills of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the qualities of star forward Rafael Leao.

The Rossoneri booked their spot in the Round of 16 of the Champions League with a crucial 4-0 win over RB Salzburg last night, a result that saw them finish second in Group E behind Chelsea. Stefano Pioli and his squad will now be anxiously waiting to discover who they’ll face in the knock-out stages, with possible opponents including Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Carrying out a Q&A with StarCasinò Sport, Tomori first reflected on Milan’s Scudetto win last season.

“After the game against Lazio something clicked in us, there we realised that yes, we could win it The secret of this Milan team is hunger, the desire to always help each other and win it all together.”

He touched on what his dream is.

“To win the second-star Scudetto and the Champions League!”

The Rossoneri defender spoke about his relationship with coach Pioli and the other backroom staff.

“We receive a lot of help from the coach, the staff, Maldini, Massara and the fans. There’s a great feeling, we all go forward together. That’s ideal for me as a player.”

He gave his thoughts on Swedish veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“He’s a machine and a great professional. I have enormous respect for him, he’s an extraordinary reference point for me.”

Tomori also spoke highly about star forward Leao.

“Rafa is the player who has surprised me the most, he is so strong that even he hasn’t understood his real potential yet.”

The Englishman revealed which player was his childhood idol.

“Thierry Henry, he was different, he played with gloves and socks above the knee. I see some of his class in Rafael Leao.”

Finally, Tomori revealed which three players are hardest to face in Serie A.

“Lautaro, because he identifies many different movements to put you in trouble, Abraham, because he knows me very well and has known me for a long time, and Vlahovic, because with his physical structure he is difficult to face.”
