According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan‘s transfer budget for the summer could be in the region of €100m and Lille’s Sven Botman and Renato Sanches are the first two signings the Rossoneri would make.

Stefano Pioli’s men are only focused on the pitch as the race for the Serie A title continues over the weekend with their home clash against Udinese.

Club directors and owners are already planning ahead, thinking about the 2022-23 campaign. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan’s budget for the summer transfer window could be in the region of €100m provided that they qualify for the Champions League.

The Rossoneri will be looking for at least one new player in every position and have already identified their priority targets in defence and in the middle of the park.

Lille’s Renato Sanches and Sven Botman are on top of their transfer list and Milan believe they’d need around €60m to sign them both. According to Calciomercato.com, Sanches has given priority to Milan and is eager to move to San Siro in July. He won’t extend his contract expiring in June 2023.

Botman has also been monitored by Newcastle United and admitted at the beginning of the month that he is ready to move on in the summer, joining a new club.

  1. Replace Ibrahimovic with Cavani on a free. Cavani is 35 years old but he works really hard and is still scoring. Even just for a year.

Get Belotti on a free as well.

  2. Signing Belotti on a free transfer and then buying Botman-Sanches-Berardi and a proper attacking midfielder would be a dream mercato for Milan.

  3. Why not Raspadori or Scamacca? Why are we lurching from one season to the next with forwards who are just simply too old. I like Cavani, that’s not a bad call despite his age but Belotti is not good enough and both are past their best.

That Botman money should be going toward a forward and keeping Romagnoli.

  4. @ DB Milan

If Romagnoli stays, then sure as he’s been doing better but otherwise it won’t get better than that (Belotti as striker). Can’t fix everything in a single window and Botman-Sanches duo is a chance that will probably not present itself anytime soon. Both have unbelievable potential.

Attacking midfielder and right winger are more important than striker for us imo. If service is good then Giroud and Belotti will do the job I believe.

Of course, its all subjective really. I would prefer to concentrate what will be very limited funds on bringing in a top young striker like Scamacca or Raspadori who would fit into our style of play and will not be available again. We need a Kessie replacement so Sanches looks good. My preference would be keep Romagnoli in defence and look at a new CB next year because we can’t afford all 3, at the quality we need at least.

AMC an RW are already in place, we won’t have funds to spend big on areas we already have lots of cover in. Diaz, Adli, in the middle, Messias and Alexis S on the right. Its not Kaka but we aren’t that Milan.

  6. Why betting on players when its obvious we are not gonna get anywhere with them, the weak point of this team is the offensive area, we need at least 2 offensive players in that team, one attacking MF is a must.

DIAZ as a starter is a NO NO. Its a shame we couldn’t get FAIRVE for 15M, it makes better sense than getting ADLI in my opinion, then another winger like BERRALDI will do.

Milan don’t own MESSIAS and DIAZ so one of them should probably leave. Milan should agree with BELOTTI already, going for SCAMMACCA and RASPARODI (spelling) is the right thing to do but Milan don’t have the budget and we can sort all these issues in one transfer window, so BELOTTI is more than enough on a free. BELLOTTI, GIROUD, IBRA?? LAVEZIC ( get a quality and experience Att. MF and a winger who can also attack from the inside (BERRALDI) then we are good for another season.

If ROMAGNOLI leaves then BOTMAN is a necessity otherwise I think we should spend that money some where else, I mean KJEAR, TOMORI, ROMAGNOLI, KALULU, GABBIA Should do for the season ( if no one leaves).
