Milan winger Christian Pulisic was awarded Serie A Player of the Month for December in a fan vote, beating out players like Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Thuram.

The 25-year-old American winger has done well in his first half-season in Italy, having joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea last summer in a deal worth around €20m. Over the last six months, he has scored seven goals and provided six assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Milan looked a little shaky in December, dropping points in a draw with Salernitana and loss to Atalanta, putting a gap between themselves and league leaders Inter. Other results in the month include wins over Frosinone, Monza and Sassuolo.

As announced today, Pulisic has been named the Serie A Player of the Month for December after winning a fan vote online, beating out Juventus’ Federico Gatti, Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson, Roma’s Lukaku, Inter’s Thuram and Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee.

The American winger scored two goals and provided two assists in December, proving to be one of Milan’s better performers in a difficult month.
