Milan’s pre-match jacket disappears from online store following fans’ protests

Milan ultras protested on social media after the club unveiled a new pre-match jacket with black and blue colours in one of the sleeves and the item can no longer be found on the official online store.

Online protests from ultras and ordinary fans began on Wednesday when the Rossoneri dropped a new pre-match jacket and a t-shirt with a black and blue sleeve, the colour of Milan’s city rival Inter.

Curva Sud’s ultras released a statement through their official Instagram account saying that the club’s “marketing strategy is often opposite to the club’s history and tradition.”

They added that the decision to use black and blue colours is “disrespectful and intolerable” and that a club that is “sensitive” to the dynamics of today’s world should also “pay attention to the club’s history and only use colours that distinguish our club.”

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the controversial pre-match jacket and t-shirt, which also feature a black and blue sleeve, can no longer be found on Milan’s online store since Thursday morning. It remains to be seen if it’s a temporary decision or if buying them online will be no longer possible.
