Milan are keeping a close eye on Aston Villa prospect Carney Chukwuemeka and they have a clear plan as they prepare to make a move.

The 18-year-old English midfielder’s contract expires with the Villains next year and he still hasn’t decided whether or not to renew his deal with the club yet. Milan began following Chukwuemeka as an alternative to Renato Sanches and they’re ready to try and bring him to Lombardy.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan are watching Chukwuemeka’s situation in the Midlands closely. He was left behind for Aston Villa’s pre-season tour in Australia but now Steven Gerrard’s team have returned, and the coach is ready to talk to the teenager.

Should Chukwuemeka decide not to renew his contract with the club, Milan would look to launch a €10m bid in an attempt to secure his signature. For now, no concrete offers have been launched as the Rossoneri wait and see what his contract decision will be.

  1. A foreign player? Uefa has its own rules, of course, but I still thought that Milan was the international club, that achieved the greatest successes at the European level with mostly foreign players ! Maybe I’m wrong…?

  2. This foreigner thing is pure fantasy. Obviously Milan will not just be Italian players. Foreign players are what made Serie A hugely popular in the 80s and 90s and what has made the PL hugely popular these days. You can either have a league no one watches or you fill it with foreigners. No one watches a PL game and hopes to see 22 English players lining up.

  3. Most of Milan‘s great teams had a backbone of Italian internationals but also the world’s best foreign stars. Now I just see mainly foreign players and very little Italians tbh. Being Italian I don’t like it.

  4. at this point I don’t think Milan really have plan for the mercato.. they literally just knocking every target and hoping that their club will release the player cheaply.. the upcoming new owner seems to be disappeared with no comment whatsoever on the mercato and just doing his business ‘looking’ for additional funds to buy the club.. will this be the new yong hong li? smh

  5. Is this mohammed, so hopeless, clueless and idle? You’re fight so hard to be in every mention when it’s obvious you no nothing about football.
