The Thai property magnate is one of several parties linked with taking over a stake in Milan, and this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport purports to reveal his plans with a pre-contract deal allegedly already signed.

Those plans include bringing club legend Paolo Maldini back into the fold as a member of the board, as Taechaubol eyes a 30 per cent stake, with current President Silvio Berlusconi having to pay €25m if he decides not to sell the club.

However, the newspaper reports that eventually the investor would look to raise his share a 51 per cent controlling stake, but Berlusconi would retain a clause enabling him to regain control if certain promises aren’t kept.
