According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Galli will be in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to negotiate a four-year contract with the Israel Football Association (IFA), overseeing its national team and Under-21 side.

The 55-year-old made 325 appearances for Milan as a defender between 1982 and 1996, winning five Scudetti and three European Cups/Champions Leagues.

He then returned to the Rossoneri in 2006, two years after his retirement from playing, initially to coach their Primavera team, before taking charge of the club’s youth sector.

Galli is set to be replaced in the role by Cagliari’s Mario Beretta, the former Parma Coach having first been tipped to do so back in February.
